Run clubs: yes, running, but really for the social
The run club has become the new singles bar and the social fixture of the week, trainers on.
It's repeated everywhere: the run club is the new dating. Joke aside, the reality is simple: dozens of people meet to run together, then often linger over a coffee.
Why it's taking off
It's free, it's healthy, and it answers a real need: building connection without alcohol or pressure. You come when you want, run at your pace, and leave with two or three new contacts. Hard to get more accessible.
And in Luxembourg?
In a country where many arrive from abroad and look to build a circle, the format lands perfectly. Loops along the Petrusse or around the capital's parks are becoming weekly meeting points, in several languages.
Bottom line: the run club didn't reinvent running, it reinvented how we meet. And in a city this international, that's worth its weight in gold.
